Process Serving is not subject to a no serve no fee policy as this involves major costs.
All cases are treated as urgent.
All Invoices must be paid in cleared funds by the due date. Failure to do so will incur penalities under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 to preserve the low cost of the service for other users.
At Portland Investigations, our Process Servers respond quickly to Clients instructions to serve legal documents anywhere in the UK.
We differ from other Process Servers because we do not simply turn up and leave if there is no answer. We make enquiries and indeed are used by Courts overseas instead of the Foreign Process Section of the High Court because of our ability to get the job done, professionally and in a timely manner.
Using this site will enable you to book a Process Serve online, so that we can schedule in the service of legal documents, which means that in most instances, the first visit takes place within a 24 hours of receipt of the documents.
We also offer a pre-payment service for our Process Servers, whereby you may opt to pay at the time of instruction and benefit from a 20% reduction in our fees, paying just £100 + VAT instead of £125 + VAT.
At the conclusion of the Service of your legal documents, you will receive a full report detailing the Process Serve, a sworn Affidavit in the correct format, and our Invoice, which will either state PAID for your records if using our pre-pay service, or give you 21 days in which to make full payment, per our standard terms and conditions.
Unlike many of our competitors, the fee quoted is the fee you pay. We do not add on extras for travel, or affidavit preparation or swear fees*
We are ideally placed to serve legal documents on the Treasury Solicitors and Westminster Magistrates Court.
*In the event that a Notary Public is required to swear the Affidavit a charge, at cost, will be made and can range between £65 and £175 depending on the location of the Notary and Process Server. Unfortunately, Notary Publics are not governed by the Law Society and therefore are allowed to charge whatever they believe reasonable, without regulation.
